Concert Band This Week: November 7-11, 2017

Congratulations to our seniors who were honored on Friday evening! Thank you, Marching Colonels, for a great parade performance on Saturday! We have much of which to be proud.

This week…required after-school events for concert band; Spring Trip commitments and deposits due; All-District audition material posted; and Veterans Day Ceremony. The WF Bands are full steam ahead as 2016-2017 continues. Please read on for the schedule and more announcement details.

Important Reminders

Concert Band meets after-school this week on Monday and Thursday; Veterans Day Ceremony is during school on Friday morning.
Please see the concert week itinerary for times and specifics.
These events have been on the calendar since May 2016. Attendance is required and is a major grade for band class.

2017 Spring Trip information is here.
Spring Trip commitment deadline is Wednesday, November 9. We have only received 3 commitment forms and deposits so far. Please remember, a lack of interest will result in the trip’s cancellation.
The fruit sale is underway! Participating can significantly reduce the overall cost for the trip. You can find more information here.
Please ensure you are following the revised November/December calendar.
One important change: there is no band booster meeting this week. The next meeting is November 28.
Those interested in All-District Band auditions should check out our new audition page. This is a GREAT resource! Mr. Stanley will have all of this available in class as well.
Please make sure you are securing your concert attire. This is ALL BLACK (no exceptions)! For more information on appropriate concert attire, please consult pg. 11 of the band handbook, available here.
