Although we still have the senior night football game and a handful of parades, the marching season is quickly winding down. During the next two weeks, we will be transitioning to full concert band preparations for Veterans Day Ceremony and the Winter Concert. Believe it or not, we must begin preparations for Concert Assessment soon.
I am cancelling all after-school rehearsals on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25. Full marching band will rehearse on Thursday, October 27 from 3:30-5:00 PM. Please note the time change. Enjoy the time off/shorter schedule; you deserve it!
A few other items of interest…
Those students invited to participate in the All-City Band Event (December 2-3) need to return commitment slips ASAP.
Information about the 2017 Spring Trip is here. The deadline for commitments is Wednesday, November 9 (a little over two weeks away).
The fruit sale begins this week. Please ask your students for information after Wednesday. Another email announcement will contain further details.
A revised November/December calendar will be released this week. It will be given in hard copy in class and distributed via email/website mid-week.
A2 and A3 band classes have a playing test on the Eb concert scale on Friday. Information is here.
