Weekly Band Update: November 13-17, 2017

Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble and Marching Colonels on successful performances last week. Our musical tributes to veterans and service families were well-received and much appreciated. Thanks to all our students for their professionalism throughout these special commemorations. Although our after-school schedule this week is limited, the fruit sale continues, students are preparing for All-District Band auditions, Symphonic Band’s first rehearsal is just around the corner, and the Winter Concert date nears.

Embrace the habit of practicing at home and let’s commit to achieving great musical progress in our class rehearsals!

Band Schedule – November 13-21

Tuesday, November 14

All District Help/Practice Session – 3:45 – 5:00 PM
All are welcome to come and practice in this open session. Special attention will be given to the All District etude and audition material. You are not required to stay the whole time, but you must be in the band room by 3:45 PM and you must be practicing. All students must have transportation by 5:00 PM.

Attention Band Boosters: We are moving the December meeting to Monday, November 27. This is the date the fruit orders are due and we need some assistance tabulating and submitting the order. Please tell Mr. Stanley if you are available on Monday afternoon to help tabulate. We will set a start time based on responses. After tabulations, we will hold a brief meeting to discuss the Christmas parade and winter concert.
