Competition Week #4: October 16-21, 2017
Thank you in advance for reading all the information in today’s post. We are excited for a strong finish to our competitive season and continued forward progress toward our last football game and upcoming parades.
All students should be practicing regularly at home. Please read information in the announcements section regarding upcoming auditions for All City Band, part placement, and Wind Ensemble scale pass-offs.
We end the weekly update with the three quotes on our final competition itinerary. These are important words to remember as we think about the way we should approach the concluding events of our season.
“Discipline helps you finish a job, and finishing is what separates excellent work from average work.”
-Pat Summitt
“Celebrate what you accomplish, but raise the bar each time you succeed.”
-Mia Hamm
“There’s a thin line between confidence and arrogance…it’s called humility. Confidence smiles; arrogance smirks.”
-Unknown
