Weekly Update: October 2-6, 2017
Congratulations on a successful middle school band night and competition! We have two weeks of rehearsals for development before our third contest on October 14. This week, we will dig into small details and try to develop our show concept further.

For all students in the band program: yes, we are in the middle of marching season! However, each passing day brings us closer to important concert performances! Please ensure you are regularly practicing at home.

Full Marching Band Rehearsal – 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Tuesday, October 3
RVTV visits Wind Ensemble Class – B2
FLEX-DAY – 4:00 – 7:00 PM
4:00-5:00 – Drum Major
4:00-4:30 – Snare Sectional
4:30-5:15 – Bass Drum Sectional
5:15-7:00 – Color Guard Sectional

This is scheduled for Saturday, October 14. Full itinerary and schedule will be available soon. We are anticipating an afternoon performance time.
Interim Grades/Class Syllabus, Instrument Loan Contract, Band Handbook
Several students had lower than normal grades on their interim reports. This is due in large part to missing paperwork.
Each of the documents listed above was distributed in hard copy during the first two weeks of school. Forms were to be returned for a grade. Please return forms ASAP if you have not yet done so. “Late work” is accepted for reduced credit.
