The month of May seems to speed by! We hope you are ready for this week’s great events that lead us onward. In addition to normal events like jazz band rehearsal and drum major training, this week holds our very important Marching Band Spring Training and a jazz band performance on Thursday. Please read on to find out more and stay informed.

Drum Major Training – 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Breckinridge Band Concert – 5:15-6:45 p.m.
Those students participating in the side-by-side portion of the concert should arrive by 5:15, dressed in concert black
Tuesday, May 9
Jazz Band rehearsal – 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 10
Marching Band Spring Training! – 4:30-7:30
Free pizza!

Marching Band commitment contracts are past due! Yes, we are still accepting registrations! Submit yours online today and commit to a tradition of pride and excellence!
Marching Band Spring Training will be held on Wednesday, May 10. Students have a fast-paced and energetic introduction to marching band from 4:30-6:15. At 6:30, parents/guardians are invited to join us in the cafeteria for FREE PIZZA and a brief informational meeting where all materials and details regarding marching band will be presented. Everything should conclude by 7:30 p.m. This is a required event for anyone participating in marching band next year. Still undecided? Come check it out on May 10!
Jazz Band will perform at the PTA Central Council Banquet on Thursday, May 11. Itineraries and forms for this event were distributed at the last rehearsal. You can find electronic copies here.
The Band Banquet is scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the WFHS cafeteria. Sign-ups have been posted in the band room. This year, every attending guest will receive a ticket to ensure we do not over-order food. The event is catered by Wildwood Smokehouse BBQ. Payments for the banquet will be due by Tuesday, May 16. Here is a breakdown of payment information. Please contact Mr. Stanley if you have questions or concerns. We hope you will choose to attend this wonderful celebration of the band’s yearly accomplishments and our graduating seniors.
