WF Band Weekly: January 9-13, 2017
As we enter the season of winter weather, clarifying announcements about band events will appear on the website, Facebook, email updates, and Remind texts. Only in special, administrator approved circumstances will the band meet when schools are closed. Again, this will always be clarified.

Concert Assessment is less than two months away. Take some extra time tomorrow to continue practicing for chair auditions. Our website has some great resources for practicing. Also, check out this YouTube channel to hear some great band music and musicianship.

Spring Trip
The Monday, January 9 mandatory meeting will be rescheduled. A separate announcement will be made regarding the new date. Please stay tuned.
Jazz Band
​This after-school ensemble is a GREAT way to play lots of fun music and get better on your instrument! The ensemble is open to all players and meets on Thursday.
First rehearsal – after-school on Thursday, January 12, 2017
​3:45-5:00 PM
Selected members of the jazz ensemble will have the opportunity to work with a special guest artist in February, Magda Giannikou, leader of Banda Magda. She is a professional songwriter and performer who has appeared frequently at the Jefferson Center. Magda's guest residency will culminate with a joint performance with Banda Magda at the Jefferson Center.

Make-Up Exams
​If you were absent or are missing part of your exam, please see Mr. Stanley. It is your individual responsibility to schedule make-up times. All make-ups must be completed by January 18, 2017.
