Winter Concert and Fruit Delivery: December 12-16, 2016

Thank you for an excellent performance at the Roanoke Christmas Parade and congratulations to those students who auditioned for All-District Band on Saturday!

Our concert is Monday; fruit arrives on Tuesday; midterm exams, playing tests, and preparation for next semester’s performances occur in class this week; trip payment #2 is due on Friday…let’s have a strong finish to the semester with everyone involved and engaged! Please read all the information below!

  • Monday, December 12

  • WINTER CONCERT

  • 7 PM; free admission

  • ALL BLACK performance attire

  • Onstage, seated, ready to play @ 6:20 PM

  • Itinerary here.

  • Tuesday, December 13

  • Fruit Orders arrive

  • To students/families who sold fruit…THANK YOU! We appreciate you ensuring that people in our community receive this product they love from the band they love. The fruit sale helps our band and it helps you individually.

  • However…the low number of students who participated in the fundraiser eliminated our ability to request a specific delivery time; we are subject to the truck’s schedule since our sales make up so little of the overall load. At 2:30 on Friday, there is no band class present to assist with unloading and sorting orders…

  • Band students…if you are available from 2:30-3:30 (early release, completed exam, etc.) and obtain permission from your teacher, your assistance is greatly needed and appreciated so that we can get the truck unloaded and orders filled in a timely manner. If there are any band booster parents available, we would appreciate you checking in at the main office and helping during this time as well.

  • ALL ORDERS MUST BE PICKED-UP ON TUESDAY.

  • Pick-up is at the WF band room from 3:30-6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13. All orders must be picked-up from the band room by 6:00 PM. The band is not responsible for refrigerated storage to maintain the fruit’s quality.

  • The fruit must be refrigerated. Orders must be picked up and delivered to those who ordered or stored properly until they can be delivered. There is no storage available in the band room/school.

  • PLEASE ensure our reputation for a good fruit sale continues by delivery the chilled, fresh fruit immediately to those who ordered. The band is not responsible for your delivery system. PLEASE deliver (or store properly until delivery can occur) and do not wait. We want 2016 customers to be satisfied and purchase again next year!

  • This week in class…
